Catching Up

I find that my passions have a life span of, at most, about 10 years.  Such was jewelry making (although I'm still making some wee jewelry pieces as I'll show in later posts).  I was able to stop doing art shows when I aged enough to collect Social Obscurity, as my dear dad used to call it.  For a while I took up painting again and learned a ton under the excellent tutelage of Phil Ruehle at the Shiawassee Arts Center in Owosso, MI.  I'm not going to bore you with the dozens of pictures I did so I'll just post a few before getting into what I've actually been up to during the pandemic.

Lilacs, one of my favorites.  11"X 14", oil.

Poppies, 9"X 12", oil

Zinnias, 11"X 14", oil

This is an old leather-bound book that belonged to my grandmother.  9"X 12", oil

And, finally, one that isn't flowers.  A little 5"X 8" in oils about oils.

  1. After all these years you are still in my RSS feed and bookmarked. Your wirework is/was inspiring.
