I find that my passions have a life span of, at most, about 10 years. Such was jewelry making (although I'm still making some wee jewelry pieces as I'll show in later posts). I was able to stop doing art shows when I aged enough to collect Social Obscurity, as my dear dad used to call it. For a while I took up painting again and learned a ton under the excellent tutelage of Phil Ruehle at the Shiawassee Arts Center in Owosso, MI. I'm not going to bore you with the dozens of pictures I did so I'll just post a few before getting into what I've actually been up to during the pandemic.
Lilacs, one of my favorites. 11"X 14", oil.
This is an old leather-bound book that belonged to my grandmother. 9"X 12", oil
And, finally, one that isn't flowers. A little 5"X 8" in oils about oils.
After all these years you are still in my RSS feed and bookmarked. Your wirework is/was inspiring.
ReplyDeleteAw, thanks! I may get back to it some day but there are others out there doing some amazing stuff now.
